Step 3: Wearing

When your first set of aligner trays is ready, you’ll return to your dentist’s office. Your dentist will make sure your tray fits correctly, show you how to insert and take out the tray, and provide instructions for use and care.  

You’ll wear your Invisalign® aligner trays for 20 to 22 hours each day. You can remove your aligner trays when you eat or drink anything other than water, engage in contact sports, or when you clean them.
